I HAVE A 282 LINK COUPLED PACIFIC MODIFIED TO CARRY A TV CAMERA. THE 282 IS NOW NON POWERED. I USE MY 370 BAR COUPLED DIESEL TO PUSH THE 282. I SOON DISCOVERED THE BAR COUPLER WOULD NOT PUSH THE LINK COUPLER THROUGH CURVES AND SWITCHES WITHOUT UNCOUPLING/DERAILING. AFTER INSTALLING THE LINK TO BAR COUPLER ADAPTER ON THE 282 LINK COUPLER, I RAN THE TANDEM LOCO’S AROUND MY LAYOUT OF 5 CURVES AND 5 TURNOUTS FOR 2.5 HOURS WITH NO UNCOUPLING/DERAILMENTS. I THEN INSTALLED ANOTHER LINK TO BAR ADAPTER AHEAD OF SEVERAL BOX CARS AND CABOOSE AND PULLED THEM BEHIND THE TANDEM LOCOMOTIVES TO MAKE THE CONSIST LOOK AS REAL AS POSSIBLE. THIS LINK TO BAR ADAPTER WORKS WITH NO PROBLEMS. MY PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED!   CARL H

THE LINK TO BAR ADAPTER WORKED GREAT. I ATTACHED THE ADAPTER TO SOME CARS AND RAN MY 370 AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS AROUND THE TRACK. NOTHING UNCOUPLED. I REALIZED IT ATTACHES TO THE ROLLING STOCK QUITE EASILY AND IS EASILY REMOVED. I INTEND TO ORDER
A COUPLE MORE, AND WILL SHOW THIS ADAPTER TO OTHER AMERICAN FLYER ENTHUSIASTS.    DICK G

I HAVE A PAIR OF 0-8-0’S THAT I RUN TOGETHER. THE LEAD ENGINE IS LINK, THE SECOND ENGINE HAS A BAR COUPLER, AND THE SECOND TENDER WAS CONVERTED TO KNUCKLE. EVEN WITH THE CURRENT SET UP, I NEVER EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS OR DISCONNECTS, JUST SOME BACK AND FORTH PUSHING BETWEEN THE TWO. I USED THE LINK TO BAR ADAPTER ON MY PAIR OF 0-8-0’S AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY!    ROBERT M

I HAVE TRIED OUT THE LINK TO BAR ADAPTER AND IT WORKS WELL. I MAY NEED MORE IN THE FUTURE. MAX M
